Horses aren’t a cheap passion. And horse people are notorious for being spenders. Horses aren’t the only thing I enjoy, though. One of my many interests is creating things. So when any opportunity comes up that allows me to (1) create something horse related that would (2) give me a little extra cash to spend on my horse, I was sold (no pun intended).
But this isn’t just a way for me to make money to spend on my horse, this is also my future. You see, I don’t have a dream about becoming a doctor or lawyer. I want to be my own boss, I want to run my own business. Be an entrepreneur, whether it be through something like freelance writing or totes. Now I know some recylced grain bags I’m making now as a teenager isn’t likely to become this hugely successful business, but I’m learning the skills I’ll need in the future to be a sucessful businesswoman. I want to come out of the gate running, not trying to catch up.
